After a cold, damp day at Downtown Disney we decided to start our #DisneySide park adventures at Epcot. Funny enough, I thought the weather was meant to clear, but it didn’t. Day one in the parks was another cold and wet one. Whatever, right? We made the best of it and the kids had a blast. We big parents still have a lot to learn about this place.
- No more Fast Pass!
- You can only do “rider switch” on some rides and it wasn’t clear which ones we could do it at, so we didn’t get to do it! Chris didn’t get to ride on Mission: Space and I didn’t get to ride on Test Track.
- Fast Past Plus pretty much sucks. We didn’t know the logistics, so when we got our Fast Pass Plus for Soarin’, we were given the options to choose from second tier rides for two other fast passes. You have to pick time windows all at once and we found it intimidating and confusing. When we got to our second tier rides, we discovered that we didn’t even need a fast pass because there wasn’t a line! So we had no idea we should have “rescheduled” our fast pass selections! FRUSTRATING! And once you use up your fast pass plus selections, that’s it for the day! You are only allowed to do it once at the park! This FAST PASS + business is brand new at the Disney Parks as of this month, so there’s a lot to learn, but it was very confusing for us since we were CLUELESS! We’ll have to give it another whirl when we go to Magic Kingdom. It’s stressful just thinking about it!
- You can buy Children’s Advil for a kid with an earache at Mouse Gears.
