Putting four kids to bed is no easy task. Sometimes it’s the second hardest part of the day (morning rush takes the gold) and Chris and I try to take turns putting them to bed. But sometimes, it’s just so crazy that it takes two of us and we need to divide and conquer. However, if we’ve got a great bedtime story that everyone will enjoy, then things are THAT much easier. We all snuggle up together in Mommy and Daddy’s bed and everyone listens closely.
Even Monsters, by AJ Smith is one of those stories that we all love at bedtime. When it arrived in the mail a few weeks ago, I had a quick read and knew the boys would just love it. From the monster on the front cover wearing undies called “Fur of the Loom” to the monsters reading bedtime stories called “Even Humans,” this book will make you chuckle. It’s filled with such humorous detail for mom and dad that it’ll be a bedtime favorite in everyone’s house! Each time we read it I catch another funny detail I missed! It’s a super cute story about the life of monsters! The illustrations are fabulous.
Your kids will love this book.
Even monsters have to put on clean underwear. Even monsters need to brush their teeth. Even monsters miss their mommies. Well done AJ Smith, well done!
