Holy moly, school is officially out and sunny skies are here! I am so excited for beach days, picnics, playgrounds and road trips! The kids are so excited summer is here and we are all looking forward to lots of fun being schedule-free! No more sports, dance, CCD, or drama class for us. We are living day-to-day, planning as we go, flying by the seat of our pants on nothing but time together and lots of fun.
I’m hoping to find some fun ways to teach my kids to help our community too. In fact, as I drove by our local farm stand today, we noticed a huge group of hard working volunteers who were completely rebuilding it after it was vandalized this past winter. It looks like they are always looking for volunteers, so my plan is to swing by and reach out to ask how my kids can somehow get involved because their success relies heavily on the amount of volunteers. I know the grand opening is set for July 7th, but it sure would be awesome if we could somehow get involved as a family. I can’t think of a better place to get them started volunteering – right here in our own town!

Don’t forget, each time you watch, like and SHARE this video from Kid President, ConAgra foods will donate the equivalent of one meal to Feeding America. It is such an easy way for us all to help! Thank you for helping to get the word out about this important cause for America’s kids and creating a #HungerFreeSummer!
