I did it. I dragged myself to NYC for a blogging event and I took baby Andrew along for the ride. More on that to come. We survived it! We actually had a lot of fun and met some pretty neat-o brands while we were at it. I love meeting new people and connecting with new folks, and that’s just what we did all day long on Friday!
One party we attended Friday night was the #EAEvents Party, where we got to shmooze with some really fun brands at the Element Associates Social Suite. It was a happening place.
Of course, that’s where I got my first look at the Wubble Ball! The kids have been asking to play with that thing every afternoon since we got it and Emily (age 8) has even mastered how to blow it up herself! The kids love that thing!
We were also the first to see this great jewelry collection by Joseph Nogucci. This is called the Miii bracelet; isn’t it pretty? You can create a perfect arm stack with these beautiful bracelets which are crafted from semiprecious stone beads and gleaming rhodium-plated magnets. Each Miii bracelet stands for a special memory or milestone. Just gorgeous!
We also got to hang out with 70 year old Smokey Bear, who still plays a major role in educating the public that “Only YOU can prevent wildfires.” You can wish Smokey a happy birthday too by signing his online birthday card here!
There were even COVERGIRL manicures happening at this hip party. It’s too bad I bit my nails off before getting a chance to try the COVERGIRL XL Nail Gel Collection, which shows off a plump, polished gel manicure look that glides on smoothly without any UV lights or having to go to the salon! I love that! And besides, who can afford a gel manicure every two weeks at the salon? Not this girl!
COVERGIRL was also showcasing their new #instaGLAM Collection with make-up touch-ups! It’s perfect for all us moms-on-the-go!
Let’s not forget the fun car stuff I got for Chris. He’s the one in charge of car washing around here. I got him some Washdrops, an award-winning green car wash solution! Washdrops only requires one bucket of water to get your vehicle all shiny and sparkly! Isn’t that neat? We can’t wait to try it out without needing a hose or anything! Washdrops would be perfect for those non-profit car wash fundraisers in schools and around town! No hose!? No hose. Amazing.

Wash this car Daddy!
I also got to choose between pink or black wiper blades for the minivan to help support the fight against breast cancer. PINK WIPERS people! Cool? YES! I was all about choosing pink until I thought about what Chris’s reaction might be, so I opted for the black ones with the pink ribbon. With each purchase of these blades, a donation is made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation – good work AutoTex Pink! You can made a statement and purchase your new wipers at www.thecequentstore.com
What do you think about these new snazzy products? You like? I’d love to get a set of those Miii bracelets by Joseph Nogucci. SO pretty.
