The turkey is ready to be brined and basted and the baking has begun. Whether you’re traveling or staying put this Thanksgiving, chances are you’ll take part in some awesome Thanksgiving Day traditions with your family. For us, we’re starting a new one this year which includes listening to Emily sing in the church choir tonight at Thanksgiving Mass. We’re really looking forward to it.
Tomorrow, uncle Tim (camera man at WCVB 5 Boston) will cover FOOTBALL – local high school teams and all of the amazing plays that take place in tomorrow’s SNOW! He covers local games every year, but he’s always home in time for turkey! Hey, I wonder if tomorrow’s games will still be played? Football in the snow sure sounds like fun!
What about that Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Do you hunker down with your little ones and watch all those amazing floats drift on by Central Park? The Stow kids LOVE seeing all the giant balloons too – like Buzz Lightyear, Spongebob and that Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger.
Last year, we all started a NEW tradition – watching The National Dog Show together right after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Owen is the biggest dog fan of all and we just love seeing all those doggies looking all spruced up and fancy! It’s a real hoot! And we’re excited to see which lucky little purebred gets to take home “Best In Show.”
“The National Dog Show Presented by Purina®” has been a Thanksgiving Day tradition for the past thirteen years now. Will you be watching?
So hide that remote and remember that #TheDogShow will air from noon – 2pm on NBC directly following The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC. You’ve got all day and night to then watch football with your Neanderthal husband, brother, boy-friend, uncle, grandfather, cousin, etc! Yes, I know it’ll be a football event eventually at our Thanksgiving, but we’re watching the dogs until 2pm. Will you be joining us?
Share your best Thanksgiving Day tradition in the comments below! But be sure to share this image below to remind everyone that “It’s Dogs Until 2pm” tomorrow on NBC! Be sure to join in on the conversation on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #TheDogShow! See you there!
