Tieks. I fell in love with those aqua blue soles the minute I laid eyes on them. Had to have them. Someday.
Now let me start by saying I despise high heels and will very seldom be caught wearing them because they absolutely kill my feet. No matter what brand I try and how cute they might be, my poor little toes are always squished into a vice and I end up with major blisters, lots of aches and pains and the inability to walk by night’s end. I’m beginning to think that my toes are actually totally deformed because finding comfortable shoes is not easy for me. Or is just that there’s no such thing as comfortable high heels?
So when I got the chance to review some Tieks, the amazingly soft Italian leather flats that all the ladies covet, I was SUPER EXCITED. I wanted to know if they were really all that they’re cracked up to be. With a price tag ranging from $175 to $295, these shoes had better be pretty darn comfortable. I wanted to be walking on air.
I chose the wild copper ($265) because I thought they’d look absolutely stunning with my blue jeans and I could also dress them up and be fancy in them with their glitzy gold and silver sparkle. So pretty, right?
Some Important Facts About Tieks
- They do not come in half sizes.
- If you are between sizes, they advise you to order down. So for example, I am typically an 8.5, so I followed the rules and ordered down. Big mistake. Be careful when you make that decision. I think I would tell you to order UP! (My running sneakers are a 9)
- Amazing customer service. Absolutely amazing. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
- They’re comfortable and oh so pretty, but I’m not so sure they’re worth that hefty price tag. I don’t think my closet will ever see another pair.
- The colors and styles to choose from are out of this world. I had a hard time choosing because I wanted them all.
- Super fast shipping (You’ll have them on your feet in 48 hours after placing your order!)
- They come in amazing packaging which includes a flower headband and a black carry case so you can fold up your tieks and store them easily or throw them into your purse.
- They’re super soft and have a no-skid rubber sole.
- Made from 100% full-grain leather.
- The minute I wore them out in public, the ladies started talking to me about them. “Tieks! Don’t you love them? Aren’t they awesome? I have them in red patent leather. I made my husband buy me a pair. They stretch out. Try wearing them with socks around the house. Are those the wild copper? I love your shoes!!”
Tieks Sizing
When I ordered the 8s and tried them on, I was like, “uh oh.” The elastic at the back was really digging into my heel, in particular on the foot that was recently broken. But it was so bad that I was getting a blister and actually had sore feet after the first time wearing them. With a price tag of $265, I couldn’t deal. I had to make the call and find a way to fall in love with my pretty new flats.
But like I said, customer service is amazing. They sent me the 9’s right away and they were in my mailbox in less than 48 hours. The 9’s were SO much better. No more heel digging and totally great. Not too big either. Perfectly snug elastics all around my feet.
So Are Tieks Worth the Price?
Are they the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever put on my feet? No. But do I love them? Yes. I love the glitz and the glam and the fact that they’re comfortable flats that look amazing with anything I pair them with.
You can peruse all the fancy colors and styles of tieks and maybe even ask your one true love to get you a pair for Valentine’s Day. And boys, if you’re listening, if you order your woman a pair of tieks for any special occasion, she’ll love you for it forever. She really will. They’re the most trendy flats out there and her tootsies will love you for it.
Do you own a pair of tieks? What do you think of the fit? What styles are you loving?
Instead, opt for a pair of ME TOO ballet flats – the most comfortable flats I own! I’ve never gotten a blister from them and I can wear them all day long. Size 9 feels and fits perfectly. Plus, you can order all the colors, have the style and comfort and all the money in your wallet. NOT KIDDING ABOUT THESE. They’re amazing.
Thank for your honest review. I’ve almost bought them so many times but, like you, I’m all about the comfort. I despise heels as much as they seem to despise me. But for that price, they need to be super comfortable for long periods of time and walking.

They are super comfortable. I work at a job where I’m on my feet for 9 hours at a time and swear by Tieks. In fact, I justify the cost because I wear them almost every day and am at the point where I really can’t wear other flats anymore. You’d love them.
The half sizes would be tough for me, too. I never know if I should go up or down! Enjoy those shoes, lady!

I don’t own a pair (I just can’t spend that much money on myself..I never have anything nice). They are super cute and I’ve heard they are comfortable. I know some people that have like 10 pairs of them! And, love them all. I’d love to try them out, but I’m nervous to spend that much for sure. Thanks for your honesty.

I always wondered about these cute little flats…now I know!
I don’t own a pair of Tieks but I’ve been thinking about it because I’ve heard so many friends rave about them being worth the investment that I think I’m ready to take the plunge once I finally decide what color to get! It’s SO hard to decide but I love your copper pair!

I would love a pair to toss in my bag when I hit the city! Can’t wear heels all day. The price tag is a bit of an ouch for me. Maybe someday!

Thanks for the honest review. I have heard of thesse but I do need to find comfortable shoes with some heel issues I have but for special occasion, I might need a pair or two.

Nooo, no half sizes? That may be a deal breaker for me. I am a firm 9.5. Aww man!

They are super cute! I appreciate the honest review, but the most I have ever spent on a pair of shoes was around $100 and those were for athletic shoes! If anyone wants to gift me a pair though. . .lol!

Thank you so much for your honest review. I was just telling my husband the other day about Tieks and how they’re SO EXPENSIVE for such a simple shoe. I’ve been dying for a pair – but, think I’ll save my money. They are beautiful though. I would have picked the copper too!

They’re worth it! I have 3 pairs and they’re the only flats I can wear working retail 9 hours at a time. I’ve tried less expensive flats and the truth is, they’re not as nice and definitely not as comfortable. Being able to wear Tieks every single day is what makes them worth the expense. I’ve converted all my friends and think you’ll love them if you give them a try.
I definitely want to check these out. They look so comfy!

I have this exact pair and absolutely love them. I get so much use from them, I think they’re worth every penny. It seems that almost every single time I wear them I get compliments on them. Many of my friends have them too and we all swear by them. I work in retail and am on my feet for 9 hours a day and these are the only nice shoes I can wear. Love Tieks!
I swear by these shoes too! They’re the best made ballet flats I’ve found and I’ve tried everything including Lanvin flats and there’s nothing quite like a pair of Tieks. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! Great color choice BTW. I have Wild Copper on my wish list.
Tieks are amazing! So comfy and their customer service is the best. Glad you got to experience them. I got my first pair over a year ago and now have 4 pairs. They all still look new and I wear them regularly. It’s an addiction!
I have cardinal red and obsidian black tieks and i love them! asking my hubby for metallic pewter for valentine’s day…can’t wait!
I NEED some of these so badly! Thank you for sharing. I have always wondered where to get them!

I love my Tieks. My first pair was fuschia…really hot pink. It took a little time to wear them in because I didn’t grab them often to wear because of the color. But the more I wore them the more comfortable they got and suddenly I wore them with everything. Pink really does go well with lots of things. I now have them in blue and red. My next colors I get will be green black and cream. After that I feel I can splurge on some of the fun patterns like the ones with the rosettes. They are great shoes for people with thin heels because they don’t pop off. If they are tight on your toes at first give them some time. Don’t size down if your a half size…go up. Hope you love these little shoes as much as I do.
This is a very honest and not overly Hyped on Tieks. I search and searched before purchasing and am still on the fence if tieks are for me… I ordered mint green patent in size 8. My feet measure just at an 8 narrow, but most shoes I wear 8.5 Unfortunately, they were way to tight and went up to 9. Very easy to do and they sent back a return label for me to pop on the box and send back the size 8. Now still trying to decide if size 9 is right for me. I don’t want shoes that I have to break in.. Size 9 still feels a bit tight on the heal and still my feet ache just walking around the house in these. Glad to see I am not the only one has an issue.. I was beginning to wonder if all the posts were due paid or not. Granted the colors and website and customer service are fantastic, just they have to fit to work out for me.
Thanks for your review! I own a pair of Tieks that I managed to get in a sale from Facebook. I live in a very hot and muggy country so I only wear these when I travel. I’ve worn them up to 12 hours straight several days in a row and my feet held up in these. I did however find that the toe box in them is too low – a point of my big toe is very noticeable through the top of the leather. I talked to the people at Tieks about it who suggested maybe the shoes were too small but that is certainly not the case – I normally wear a 6.5 or 7 and an 8 would have fallen off my feet. While these are more comfortable than other flats I’ve worn, I probably won’t purchase another pair due to the toe box issue.
I ordered a pair of Tieks and was SO excited – finally, I get to try these and be a part of the blue soles club!
Fast forward a few days – man, was i disappointed! I mainly wear Cole Haan flats, which, in my opinion, are the most comfortable shoes around, so when i put on that pair of Tieks and saw that they didn’t have NEARLY as much cushion as my Cole Haans….it was a huge let down. Those babies went right back from where they came from…and I bought another pair of Cole Haans. Even better – CH always has sales. Score!
I ignored their advice to go down half size and ordered half size up. STILL MISERABLY UNCOMFORTABLE. Elastic cut into my skin behind toes and at heel. I could see my toenails (they are very short) right through the leather. Looked liked something from Walmart. I only wore them in my house and it felt like I was walking barefoot on cement. Unbelievably awful.
I love Me Too flats-super comfy and they have them at DSW. No ticks for me!
Thanks for your honest review
Just ordered a size 8 and hoping they fit!
