Last week’s meal plan was such a huge success, so we’ve decided to keep it going for our own family’s sanity and survival. Although the kids threw some serious fits at the beginning of the week, it did get a little better as the days went on. Emily did the best eating with the least complaining and we’re proud of her for trying new things and leading a good example for her little brothers.
We’re also hoping that you find our meal planning helpful and get some good dinner ideas out of it as we go! I was excited to see so many of you cooking up the same dinners as us and sharing your photos with us on Facebook! That creamy broccoli and chicken with shells and cheese was to die for and made for some awesome afternoon lunches! I love leftovers! Emily’s favorite, however, was the pulled pork! She wants to have it again soon (we were able to freeze some leftovers) and Aidan has requested quiche for the week ahead.
Weekly Meal Plan January 11 – 16
Sunday: Roast Chicken and Vegetables
Monday: Cheddar Cheese Soup with Ale and Beer Batter Bread
Tuesday: Quiche Lorraine with Salad
Wednesday: Penne with Chicken Ragu
Thursday: Chicken and Leek Pie
Friday: Rigatoni with Creamy Mushroom Sauce
What will you be having for dinner this week? Can’t wait to share some of these delicious recipes with you this week!
Looks like a great week! Here’s hoping Chris shares that Beer Batter Bread recipe!
That quiche looks amazing! All the respect to you for having such a variety of meals… I’m not good at variety at all. :/
I refuse to meal plan because how the heck would I know what I am going to be in the mood for on a Friday the Sunday before. Sounds like you have some good ideas.
I need to learn to start making a meal plan for each week. It has to be easier then trying to guess every morning.

I meal planned last week and only went to the store once. Still eating leftovers today but made my grocery list for the rest of the week.

Roast chicken makes my hubby happy. He’s on vacay this week, but when he goes back to work next week, I think I’ll make him one. 🙂

I always try to make a weekly meal plan but it only last for like one week then the next few weeks I don’t and then I do again. Need to get into a better habit. These sound like some great ideas though!
