Since Nana lives on Cape Cod, we frequent a lot of playgrounds in the Falmouth area when we visit the Cape. Our kids love to spend a few hours at a park or a playground and it’s awesome when we find one that has something for everyone that can really keep them entertained for hours on end.
We found the Village Science Playground at the Mullen School in downtown Falmouth last year and it’s a gem. If you are ever in the Falmouth area, this is the playground you need to check out.
The playground is located at the Mullen-Hall School, at 130 Katherine Lee Bates Road in Falmouth, MA. It is right across the street from the Falmouth Public Library. There’s also a parking lot right across the street from the fenced in playground.
Science Village Playround at Mullen-Hall School
- lots and lots of swings
- light house
- climbing structures
- monkey bars
- a separate play area with swings and a structure for tinier tots
- slides of all kinds
- large wooden deck areas and huts for plenty of climbing and playing
- soft mulch
If you’re there in the summer months, chances are that the kids will also want to ride the carousel that comes to the school field, so bring some cash with you! Downtown Falmouth is full of great shops and boutiques — lots of restaurants, bakeries and candy shops! So grab lunch, walk around town and be sure to stop by the Village Science Playground at Mullen-Hall school for some swinging and sliding! You’re kids will LOVE it!
