From breakfast foods to school snacks, we really can’t keep anything in this house for very long. We’re constantly running out of milk, OJ, yogurt, our favorite frozen breakfast foods and fruit. I blame all Stow boys for this problem in our house. I seriously think they have hollow legs.
In fact, every time Aidan passes through the kitchen he seems to swing by the fruit bowl for yet another banana. I’m beginning to think he may be part ape for so many reasons beyond his love of bananas.
“Can I have a banana?”
“Really? Another banana? This will be your fourth banana today.”
“I know. I really like them.”
“NO MORE BANANAS!”
Could be worse I guess, right?
This is why I shop at BJ’s Wholesale Club and buy in bulk. We need lots of bananas, two kinds of milk, tons of yogurt and school snacks to suit all the Stows. Snacks that come in little individualized packets with the ingredients clearly marked for food allergy reasons at school is a must.
I ventured off to BJ’s ALL BY MYSELF on Saturday morning to stock up on some of those items mentioned above, as well as to check out the organic options available at BJ’s.
BJ’s carries a wide variety of organic, all natural foods and their assortment continues to grow. Their own brand, Wellsley Farms is also showcasing more and more organic food choices too. You can find it all at BJ’s – organic options in dairy, bakery, produce and even prepared foods! PERDUE® just released their HARVESTLAND® organic protein options in the club too! The following remarks are from Gudjon Olafsson, director of marketing at Perdue.
“Our organic chickens are raised free-range on certified-organic farms. They’re fed an exclusively organic diet, including non-GMO grain grown without chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Of course, they’re never, ever given antibiotics, even in the egg. And they’re processed in our certified-organic facilities. BJ’s Members can have full confidence in the USDA Organic seal on PERDUE® HARVESTLAND® chicken.”
In fact, BJ’s organic program offers more USDA Certified Organic items than any other warehouse club with over 150 organic products!

Awww man, we just gave up our BJ’s membership. What a bummer.
We don’t have a BJs here in Canada but this sounds really great! Organic is always my first choice!
I never realized there were so many organic products. I’ll have to share this with my mom who shops there.

I used to have a membership at BJ’s over a year ago and I was amazed all the amazing and affordable organic options they were bringing in. Looks like they have brought in more since my last visit there.
Just goes to show how outside the loop I am…I had no idea that BJ’s was selling organic anything! It seems like they have a great selection of organic options. I’m due to sign up for a new membership. The savings is totally worth it!

Wow there are so many options. I have started buying more organic ingredients lately. I’d love to check out BJ’s stocks!
I’ve heard of BJ’s but never been there. Is it in any way similar to Sam’s Club? How are the pickings in terms of Brands and Pricing? I buy in Bulk because it lasts longer and I always have something to cook and not have to but fast food

We love BJ’s. I love that they have great prices and you can do regular shopping. Not everything is in huge quantities.
It makes me so happy that organics are gaining in popularity enough to be in big box stores. They can make a huge difference.

Hmm. I don’t think I have ever been to BJs. However, based on their selection I am going to check them out.
We don’t have a BJ’s in our area. We used to in my hometown and loved it. Glad to see they have so many organic options.

We totally need a BJ’S membership. We too go through everything!
I’m all about cage free organic eggs! It’s great that they have organic options!
The phrase “cage free” is meaningless. The chickens are still confined and unable to forage for a natural diet. It is virtually the same as total confinement/caged. It’s totally unnatural. What is healthy is the designation “pastured.” These are the eggs from hens that are outside, presumably foraging as omnivores, which chickens naturally are. These eggs contain natural Omega 3 fatty acids and many other beneficial nutrients. The only good thing about the phrase “cage free organic eggs” is the word organic. At least the hens are not being fed glyphosate. These eggs are less toxic than conventional eggs.
We don’t shop at bulk/big box stores, but more and more, I’m starting to eye the ones that are in our area. Now that the kids are older, they go through a lot more fruit and snacks (especially my boy), and it would be much more economical to buy bigger packages. Will have to explore…

It is always said that health is wealth but nowadays it is very difficult to maintain health because of the food type available in the market.
Now that you have shared this article I know where can I find one.

I love to go for grocery at bjs because I can find everything over there, my family also likes to to visit this place often.
