Last night, out of the blue, six-year-old Aidan asked, “How many days until we can start Brain Chase, Mommy?”
“June 22nd babe, remember?”
“Oh ya, the day before Owen’s birthday.”
And again last night at bedtime he speaks the words, “I’m so excited to start Brain Chase.”
REALLY?
The kid is totally stoked to get going with his online summer learning challenges and the kid seems to think he’s going to WIN. He’s motivated, excited and eager to get going with Brain Chase.
I’m really hoping that Brain Chase is the answer to all my prayers. I’m hoping he wants to unlock levels, solve puzzles and clues and work on this online treasure hunt so I don’t have to keep nagging him about his math facts and his summer reading. Do you think there’s a chance?
Here’s how it works:
Aidan is signed up because I know it’s something that will click with him. He’s clearly motivated and ready to get going. I love that the learning is matched to his abilities and includes feedback from real teachers.
Brain Chase has also just partnered with Rosetta Stone, which means that kids now have over 30 languages to choose from for the language module of their online work! How cool is that? Students will be required to complete two lessons each week in their language requirement in order to unlock the next episode! I think this is ridiculously awesome for kids!
Brain Chase offers:
- 5 weeks of structured challenges on external reading and math websites
- Weekly writing exercises
- Weekly progress reports
- Exclusive access to an original animated adventure series loaded with puzzles and clues
- 3 adventure tools mailed to your home to help solve the challenges
- Particiaption in a massive real life global treasure hunt for a golden trophy that holds the key to a safe deposit box holding a $10,000 scholarship. If your child is the first to pinpoint its location, you’ll be on your way to dig that treasure up!
Insane, right?
Throughout the month of May, Brain Chase will be holding a Library Challenge in four cities across the nation (Boston included!) Each city will be hiding a voucher worth $1,000 in a local public library! How cool is that? A unique riddle will lead kids to the exact location of the voucher and a complimentary Brain Chase registration.
- Salt Lake City (May 4)
- Seattle (May 11)
- Boston (May 18)
- Orange County (June 1)

This looks pretty fun! It would be a big challenge to pick which kiddo to have do the program. I suppose if I won one, I’d be willing to buy one more.
