No 21 Day Fix here. Instead, Chris and I have changed our eating and drinking habits. Instead of a 21 Day Fix, we’re looking for a lifestyle fix. We are both hoping to to keep up with our good habits as we roll on into February and beyond!
5 Tips to Keep the Healthy Habits Going This Winter
- Check out Pinterest for healthy recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Search 21 Day Fix, Healthy Recipes, Clean Eating, etc.
- Try to exercise at least 2 times per week. I think smaller goals are sometimes easier to achieve!
- When out to eat, look at the healthy options section. Choose things that are high in protein and less fat!
- Cut out the alchohol.
- Drink lots of water.
I’m really excited about the way I feel lately. I have more energy, I’m happier, my clothes fit better and I’m more rested. I am SO proud of Chris too. He has really surprised me. I wasn’t so sure he would stick to it. He looks great and I can see the weight falling off. He’s exercising when he can, but like me, not as often as we’d like. It’s HARD! But just the simple steps of lots of water, no alcohol and healthier eating has proven that it works! It’s also great to have him as a partner in this because we are keeping each other going. Without his amazing nightly meals, I wouldn’t be able to do it. He’s quite the chef.
Chris recently got to make one of those better choices at McDonald’s last week. Did you know that McDonald’s has just rolled out the chicken sausage as a new option for all breakfast sandwiches and platters? The new chicken sausage patty has 5 grams of fat and 80 calories. Chris ordered it last week on his way to work at the new, super duper McDonald’s in Milford, MA. He ordered an Egg McMuffin with chicken sausage, an OJ and hash browns. The Sausage McMuffin with Egg is a customer favorite – a warm, toasty buttered English muffin made with wholesome chicken sausage, a slice of American cheese and a freshly cracked Grade A egg. He said the chicken sausage was definitely tasty; it was less greasy and less fatty than the pork sausage! We love this new protein option! And remember, McDonald’s is now serving all day breakfast, so you can try it any time!
We want you to be able to try the new chicken sausage at McDonald’s too! That’s why we’re excited to announce a fun giveaway for one lucky reader here at Stowed Stuff! You’ll receive a $25 Arch Card and four coupons for free chicken sausage samples! What’s not to love? Enter to win below!
So it looks like I’ll be venturing off to Milford’s rebuilt McDonald’s in the very near future. Chris says they rebuilt the whole restaurant from the ground up! It has great parking, two entrances, beautiful clean, white tables – plus one that lights up near the amazingly new playplace. And if you saw our recent video, Owen did say that McDonald’s was his second favorite restaurant next to Great Wolf Lodge! I’ll have to carve some time into our schedule to check this place out!
Let’s hear it. What are you going to do to keep your new year resolutions going strong? Share your tried and true tricks below – we can all use all the help we can get!

Happy to hear McDonald’s is making much needed changes to their menu. Glad you and your hubby are adopting a healthier lifestyle! It’s hard work. I like how you phrased it as a lifestyle fix rather than a 21 day cleanse. It really is a way of life. Keep it up!
Had no idea they’re doing breakfast all day
Great tip for when traveling. Sometimes McDonald’s is the only choice. (Just tell Chris to swap the OJ for water next time ??)
