Let’s be honest, being the youngest of four leaves hardly any room for new clothes in Andrew’s life. Having two older brothers means lots of hand-me-downs. Honestly, I hardly ever shop for Andrew because he’s growing so fast and I have buckets and buckets of boy clothes in this house. However, I have recently been purging a lot of the stuff that’s had a lot of wear. I’ve been known to hold on to things for far too long. I’m a creature of habit. I have lots of piles. “He might wear this, right?” Well, those days are over. I’m sick of the build up around here and even Andrew deserves some new duds every now and again.
When buying clothes for Andrew I have some requirements. The clothes need to be SOFT and have a good shape to them. They need to wash well. They shouldn’t break the bank and they need to be cute. Now, I’ve been known to splurge on some more expensive clothes here and there, but honestly, whenever I do, it’s usually wasteful because the kids just don’t wear it enough, or better yet, they’ll wear it ONCE and then decide that they don’t like it. This sort of clothing behavior really gets my knickers in a twist with the older kids. As far as I’m concerned, they can wear the same old sweatshirt day after day. I’m done fighting and throwing my money out the window. Luckily, Andrew is only two and he can’t decide (yet) what he’s going to wear and not wear. I make the rules on top of that changing table for now.
On a recent trip to Walmart, I got to explore Healthtex in the kids’ clothing department. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of classic boy styles that seemed to fit all of my criteria I found some seriously cute stuff that was soft, shaped right (as in, long enough through the middle and looked like it would wash up well) and super affordable. So cute and affordable that I had to get the same shirt (pictured above in black and gray) in three different colors. I totally admit to having a problem with stripes. But I was loving all the different graphic tees, flannels and assorted jeans and sweatpants too! With the prices as low as $5.50, I could get all three, plus a flannel shirt and some new pants too! Healthtex prices cannot be beat!
I’ve washed everything and I’m so happy. All of Andrew’s new clothes from Healthtex are still super soft, have kept the right shape, colors are still vibrant and none of it shrunk up! I really never knew that Walmart had a brand like Healthtex that I would so easily fall in love with. I’m so happy with these finds and I love how cute he looks in them! Healthtex for the win! The best part is that I don’t feel guilty about buying him any of these new clothes because he’s already getting such good wear out of them and they’re super affordable. You really can’t go wrong!
So whether you are shopping for boy or girl, check out Healthtex next time you are at Walmart! You won’t believe the prices on such soft, quality clothes and classic styles for your little ones! I love that he can still look and feel great in his play clothes while I save some serious cash! Thank you Walmart!
