A social media conference set up around everything YouTube and video content? I’ve had CVX Live, VidCon and VidSummit on my radar for years, but have never made it happen because – west coast. I figured, it’s summer – leaving the kids for a few days NOW might be easier than during the school year, so we pulled the trigger and Chris agreed to come along too. We headed to Salt Lake City, Utah for CVX Live 2017 – ALL IN!
“How was Utah?” AMAZING. But we didn’t see any mountains or visit Salt Lake. We were inside Salt Palace Convention Center for three days learning everything we possibly could about how to take our YouTube channel to the next level.
I met so many inspiring people who I’ve admired from afar through YouTube. I’d been dreaming of the day that Derral Eves would be holding my phone in is hand, digging into my YouTube analytics. He told me I have passion. I’m doing nothing wrong. Just get rid of the emoji’s in my titles and keep plugging away! What a great guy, and thank you Derral.
And then I got to be a fangirl. Dadtayley talked with me about uploading, content and life balance. He gave me some Bratayley bracelets for the kids who I left at home. Hayley energetically jumped in a photo with me. The Bratayley family completely inspired me not to quit and just keep uploading! Lovely, lovely people – just as I expected.
Let’s not forget Jeremy and Kendra from J House Vlogs. These two are the SALT of the earth. Gems! Definitely check out their channel and their adorable 5 children!
Was the trip worth it? Yes. All because we set out to do what we wanted – connect with like-minded folks in the same space, learn how to grow our channel to 100K subscribers and make new friends. CVX Live was so worth it.
Check out my trip here – see what we learned about, who we connected with and what the CVX Live was like through my lens. And don’t forget to subscribe to our channel! xoxo
