A couple weeks ago, I took the kids to a super fun back to school event at BJ’s in Seekonk, MA where we met with Glenn Lyman, celebrity chef to many athletes and Olympians! He gently reminded us that it doesn’t have to be all PB & J for lunch, all day, every day. We should switch it up and help our kids try (and get to actually LIKE) new things in their lunch boxes. Now, I’m not the bento box type, by any means, but he did have some really easy suggestions – like hard boiled eggs and salami. We’re totally doing it. Aidan took 2 hard boiled eggs in his lunch today! And all the Stow kids seemed to like his idea of after school snacks too. Pretzel rods, wrapped up with some cheese and salami? Who knew?
Had a totally awesome afternoon at a #backtoschool #event with @bjswholesale and @gcooks22 learning about #healthy #lunches for #kids! Who needs bread? I learned some easy #tips and #tricks to switch it up on the regular!! #nomnom #foodie #fruit #veggies #salad #variety #protein #cheese #forthekids #kidlunch #backpack #bts
The kids also loved all the back to school supplies available at BJ’s. They each go to pick out a totally awesome new lunch box and we left with a giant bag of school supplies! Thank you BJ’s for hooking us up!

We’ve been so sick – sick enough for Stow Kid #3 to miss his first full day of kindergarten. I was totally heartbroken. But we’re good now. The baby’s in bed and I’m working hard. I’m excited to get back into the swing of things and find our routine again. Who’s with me? Yay for back to school!!!!
